I have done a ton of things, and most of them came down to the same one: fixing the part of a system that had not made sense for years.
Someone worked around it once, then everyone did, and the workaround became the process.
I like finding that part and taking it out.
That is why the studio builds interfaces — the interface is where a system either makes sense or does not.
I work from Vrsar, on the coast of Istria.
Intrface Manifesto
We do not build websites people have to understand before they can use them.
We build interfaces to the world.
The interface comes first. The account is optional. The explanation comes through use.
A person should arrive at the thing they came for: the map, the place, the service, the report, the network, the case, the action. Not a homepage explaining the product. Not a funnel. Not an onboarding ceremony.
Context → intent → interface.
Where am I?What am I trying to do?Show me the thing.
Identity should appear only when it creates value: saving, contributing, synchronizing, authorizing or taking responsibility. An account is a convenience, not an entrance fee.
The public side should be effortless. Complexity belongs behind the interface, with the institutions and systems responsible for operating it.
We do not ask people to adapt to software. Software should adapt to the situation they are already in.
A QR code should open the place.A civic report should become a permanent case.A network should reveal the people within it.A public service should begin with the need, not the bureaucracy.
Intrface is not about putting another layer between people and the world.
It is about removing the layers already there.
The interface is the product.The world is what it interfaces with.
