What is Index?

The things you save, read, filed and connected.

Send Index links, videos, repositories, posts and screenshots. It reads each one, files it with the others on the same subject and shows you what links to what.

What you can do

Save it once. Find it by subject, by source or by what it links to.

Index keeps each thing with the others on the same subject, even when you saved them months apart and from different places.

A world for each interest: Every item lands in a world: software, music, cooking, research. Make your own for what the starters miss.
Links between items: Items link when they share a topic, a creator, a company or a mention, inside one world or across two.
A map of your interests: See every world side by side, which worlds share items, and what connected this week.
Search by word or by idea: Search reads what is inside each item, so a video turns up for what was said in it.
Capture from Telegram: Send the Index bot a link, a note, a photo, a voice note or a file. It files it for you.
A queue to sort YouTube: Liked videos and playlist songs wait in Sort. Keep or drop each one; anything dropped can come back.
Collections: GitHub stars and YouTube playlists arrive as collections and stay in sync. Make your own as well.

How it works

You send it. Index reads it. You find it.

Step 1
Send it
Forward it to the Telegram bot or paste it into the web app. Connect GitHub or YouTube and those saves come in on their own.
Step 2
Index reads it
It reads the page or the README, gets the transcript of a video and pulls the text out of a screenshot. Then it files the item into a world.
Step 3
Find it again
Search for it, open the map, or start from one item and follow what it links to.

Why it holds

You can see why each item sits where it does.

It shows its reasons

Each link between two items names what they share: a topic, a creator, a company or a mention.

You settle what it is unsure of

When Index is not sure where something belongs, the item waits for you under Check guesses. Your answer decides where it goes.

Your library stays yours

No analytics, no ads, no trackers. Delete your account in Settings and every item goes with it.
